We have always embodied innovation and the desire to take textiles to the next level. In a world of perpetual overproduction, we have taken a different path, notably through our choice of pre-order system and more responsible factories.
Our new range of stretch clothing, designed in collaboration with eco-responsible European partners:
Eurojersey: our stretch fabric partner
Eurojersey is an Italian company with which we have been working for years, a leader in the production of high-end and sustainable stretch fabrics.
Sensitive® Fabrics, a patented range produced in Italy by Eurojersey for Marithé and François Girbaud. They offer unique comfort, perfect fit, and style through garments that adapt to the body's shape and express refined aesthetics with excellent performance.
The production of Sensitive® Fabrics follows sustainability criteria in terms of water and energy savings, reduced chemical consumption, waste reduction, and carbon emissions. Moreover, by using a specific set of parameters to measure its environmental footprint throughout the entire production chain, Eurojersey also gathers all the necessary data to reduce and declare its own environmental impact.
1. Transparency and traceability: Eurojersey is committed to transparency and traceability of its products, publishing an annual sustainability report and allowing customers access to information about the origin of raw materials and manufacturing processes.
2. Innovation and sustainability: Eurojersey invests in research and development of new sustainable technologies, developing stretch fabrics made from recycled materials, sustainable sources, and biodegradables.
3. Quality and performance: Eurojersey's Sensitive® Fabrics are recognized for their quality, performance, and comfort, being soft, breathable, durable, and stretchy.
4. Collaboration and commitment: Eurojersey collaborates with sustainable clothing brands to develop innovative and environmentally friendly solutions, partnering with several initiatives aimed at promoting more sustainable fashion.
Stretch: an environmentally friendly choice
Stretch, often composed of elastane, is a stretchy and comfortable textile material.
Its use in clothing manufacturing offers several environmental advantages:
1. Reduced consumption of raw materials: Stretch allows for creating more fitted garments, thus requiring less raw material per garment.
2. Increased durability of clothing: The strength and stretchiness of stretch fabrics make clothes last longer, thus reducing the number of garments discarded each year.
3. Ease of care: Stretch garments are usually machine-washable at low temperatures and dry quickly, reducing energy and water consumption related to their maintenance.
4. Versatility and functionality: Stretch is a versatile material that can be used to create a wide variety of garments, thus reducing the number of garments needed in a wardrobe.
5. Innovation and sustainability: The textile industry is developing new types of stretch fabrics made from recycled materials or sustainable sources, thereby reducing the environmental footprint of stretch fabrics.
